A little about Bettie Rose – Wedding florist

Hello there! I’m Lib and I run Bettie Rose Flowers, a creative florist specialising in weddings and bespoke events. I am based in beautiful Brighton in East Sussex and work on events and weddings throughout London and the South East.

Experience

With over 10 years experience in the floristry industry you can be confident that I really do know flowers. How they behave, when they are available and what would suit the aesthetic you are after. I am lucky enough to know some really lovely local flower growers here in Sussex, plus I have some fantastic quality suppliers in Holland and further afield.

I am college trained and also have worked in a range of different florists including Jane Packer in London where I worked for the events team flowering up some of the most prestigious venues throughout London. It was after I moved to Brighton 7 years ago that I started considering becoming a wedding specialist as I wasn’t finding I had the time to focus on the weddings whilst working in florist shops. From there Bettie Rose Flowers was born.

Process

I am always on the look out for new inspiration and gather ideas everywhere I go; I am like a magpie for beautiful colours, textures and patterns. These obsessions feed directly into my passion for flowers. I love nothing more than collaborating with a couple and helping to create an important part of their special day. I like to work closely with you to ensure your wedding dreams become a reality. It is important to me that your flowers truly reflect your personalities and not some idea of how wedding flowers ‘ought to look’.

Background

A passion for beautiful flowers alongside my love of art, nature, colour, travel, food and all things vibrant inspire my work and help influence my design process. I am influenced heavily by my obsession with colour, which led me to studying Fine Art at university. Paint allowed me to express my love of colour, design and the process of making. This creative process led me to floristry, where a love of nature could play a part too.

Getting started

I offer a free consultation either at your venue, a cup of tea at your place or we can meet over coffee in one of Brighton’s many lovely cafes. I look forward to meeting you!
