Bright and vibrant colours
On a beautiful sunny day in August Nicola and Ben tied the knot at Wakehurst Place in West Sussex, it was my second time working there and it really is pretty. As a wedding florist working throughout Sussex I am no stranger to a gorgeous venue but you don’t always see such amazing gardens. Being a National Trust property means that the gardens at Wakehurst are always fabulous!
Nicola and Ben’s flowers were a colourful mix of sunflowers, ammi, stocks, ‘misty bubbles’ spray rose (one of my favourites!) ‘miss piggy’ roses, gloriosa, germinis and asters.
Nicola chose warm and vibrant shades of yellow, red, orange, peaches and pinks alongside bright and bold sunflowers for her bouquet (pictured above left) The bridesmaids wore dresses in different shades of hot pink so their bouquets really stood out nicely against the fabric. Those of you who know me will understand how excited I was to work with this colour scheme! It’s such a joy working with these vibrant shades as a lot of people opt for subtle pastel shades for their wedding flowers.
Nicola was kind enough to write this lovely review for me after the wedding. It’s so nice to hear when people have loved their flowers!
Thank you so much for our fabulous wedding flowers. You really listened to what we had in mind. You were professional and prompt in your correspondence. The flowers on the day looked absolutely perfect – bright, beautiful, and different, and attracted many compliments. I wish they didn’t die so I could keep them forever! Would not hesitate to recommend Lib.

How gorgeous are Nicola’s hair flowers?! I think they really compliment her hair style and her bouquet too.
