Garden roses, blush pink dahlias and late summer textures
Kimberly & Joshua were married in late August at one of my favourite venues, Southend Barns in Chichester. It is really light and bright yet warm and cosy at the same time! The colour palette was blush pinks, caramel and butterscotch tones with hints of burgundy and raspberry to pop against the paler colours.
Thank you so much to Stephanie & Nicole Photography for sending me these gorgeous pictures.
We used beautiful pale apricot coloured dahlias which are well and truly in season in August, I really love to make the most of what our seasons have to offer. There is a real sweet spot between late August and early September where you get a mix of gorgeous summer blooms as well as some of the autumnal flowers coming into season. We used dahlias, zinnias and snowberries which are great for late summer, plus lisianthus, large chrysanthemum blooms, beautiful ‘caramel antike’ and ‘romantic antike’ garden roses, silver toned thistles and berried populus eucalyptus for texture. There was also plenty or gorgeously scented Irish grown mixed foliages including ‘sussex silver’, pittosporum and eucalyptus parvifolia.
