Claire and Phil had a lovely late summer wedding here in Brighton at one of my favourite venues Pangdean Barn. A pretty seasonal mix of pastel shades of pink, lilac and soft blues were used to make the flower arrangements. We used some wonderfully scented flowers including one of my favourites which is flowering mint, it as the most delicate pretty lilac flowers with beautiful scented leaves. I love using mint as a foliage, it comes in a whole range of colours from darker purple to bright emerald green.
We used lots of locally grown flowers from here is Sussex and the rest of the UK too. I much prefer to use British grown if I can as it makes me feel really connected with the process. Most flowers come to us via Holland and a lot are flown in from around the world. It’s really nice to be using something that is grown right on our doorstep. I should note however that not all was British grown here, I topped up with some from Holland such as clematis, lisianthus and wax flower.
Thank you to the lovely Sara Reeve Photography for providing these photos for me. It’s always a pleasure to work with Sara, she takes really great pictures.
